Disadvantages:
·    Gas generators are highly flammable because of gasoline.
·    Fuel’s shelf life is very short which is approximately 12 months.
·    Fuel for gas generator may not be available during power outages.
·    It is hazardous to store large quantity of fuel.
·    The fuel is somewhat expensive.  Once can check its local prices.
·    Inefficient
·    The vapors that it emits is poisonous
·    It has poor environmental impact since the exhaust is not clean and it is spill risk.
·    The engine life would depend on the engine type.
